The Taken Seat Headquarters

This project is the main headquarters for a company dedicated to the capitalization, incubation, and development of tech start-ups. Encompassing a complete fit out of a 350 m2 space within Kuwait’s Al Hamra Tower, the project’s design creates an environment conducive to the germination and refinement of ideas. To this end, the scheme is composed of an inherently flexible variety of meeting rooms, offices, and work areas that enable project teams to collaborate, scale, and transform. Between these structured work areas, an ancillary layer of interstitial spaces offers areas for independent contemplation, chance encounters, and spontaneous dialog. The design forges a physical space that recognizes the value of individual thought and collective discussion, setting aside ample room for both.
